OCEAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Senator Vin Gopal (D-Monmouth) announced that the governor has signed into law legislation updating the requirements and standards for prior authorization of medicines and health services to patients.

In a bi-partisan initiative, LD11 Assemblywomen Dr. Margie Donlon and Luanne Peterpaul and I joined Congressman Frank Pallone and local government officials from our district at a press conference last week to support his legislation, the “Do Not Disturb Act,” to curb the robocalls by closing loopholes in federal robocall laws.

OCEAN TOWNSHIP - Senator Vin Gopal, D-Monmouth, secured 2024 State Budget grants for numerous Monmouth County nonprofit organizations and school districts engaged in helping residents in need of mental health services.

Funds address the needs of schools, police departments, nonprofit organizations, mental health and medical services.

OCEAN TOWNSHIP - For the past several months Senator Vin Gopal, D-Monmouth, has been working in a bi-partisan effort with legislative leadership in Trenton to secure millions of dollars in direct aid for the residents of Monmouth County.

In Monmouth County alone the number of households struggling to make ends meet has recently increased to 29 percent, according to the United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Here's a look at the nonprofit organizations that will receive assistance on the 2024 State Budget that was approved on June 30, 2023.

OCEAN TOWNSHIP – Senate Education Chair Vin Gopal (D-Monmouth) and Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin have announced legislation that they will move immediately to stop funding cuts at regional school districts. The legislation will also encourage smaller school districts who are facing cuts due to declining enrollment to go towards regionalization and adding shared services.
