In Monmouth County alone the number of households struggling to make ends meet has recently increased to 29 percent, according to the United Way of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. Here's a look at the nonprofit organizations that will receive assistance on the 2024 State Budget that was approved on June 30, 2023.
I am proud of our successful advocacy for state budget grants to assist nearly 60 Monmouth County nonprofit organizations, and the passage of the budget with bipartisan support in the state Legislature. We support these nonprofits because without them some of our most vulnerable residents would be impacted and the quality of life would be diminished for everyone.
