Senator Vin Gopal, Assemblywoman Margie Donlon and Assemblywoman Luanne Peterpaul (D-Monmouth) released the following statement on the contract agreement reached by Jersey Shore Medical Center nurses and Hackensack Meridian Health.

“We are thrilled to hear of the successful agreement reached between Hackensack Meridian Health and HPAE Local 5058. It is encouraging to know that productive conversations have taken place with the shared goal of ensuring the well-being of both staff and patients. It is heartening to see that an agreement could be achieved that reflects those priorities.”

Jersey Shore Medical Center is the largest trauma center on the Jersey Shore and part of Hackensack Meridian Health network. HPAE Local 5058 represents 1,700 nurses at the hospital.
